I gave a book presentation on Monday, to celebrate Runaway Smile’s 2015 International Book Awards award, and officially kick off its launch into the Greek market. Sadly, the political situation overshadowed the event, and only a few journalists showed up. Still, we did have a great time, and even got to sell a few books.
Former Miss Greece Evi Vatidou, who’s a friend, was kind enough to show up, so at least you know that the photos of the event will feature something other than, well, me.
The event took place at Skoufa Gallery, which also featured an exhibition by Alexandros Maganiotis – the perfect companion to the event.
Enjoy the photos!

Love the t-shirt Nicholas! Evi looks very sweet, I told you I saw her on Star channel the other day advertising your book, huh? Keep her close, LOL!!! Well done for the event, any exposure is great 🙂

The tee was a huge success. You know, I could share the design for anyone wanting to print it themselves. Hmm…

That sounds like a good idea. It would make a great gift to put the design on a child’s t-shirt and give it, along with the print copy of Runaway Smile, as a gift for a child. Kids love t-shirts, and your book would very innocently get some extra exposure. 🙂

Consider it done. I could probably sell the tees myself, mind you, but isn’t it better to share? 🙂

But you could set it up through Amazon.

Seriously though, it was a good idea, so thanks 🙂

That’s so kind of you, especially as it flopped in my view (I was hoping for far more journalists and drop-ins) 😀

Oh, no! You mustn’t think like that. It was beautifully presented and these things build. Just having someone with a book in your position being a part of an area or even country is an achievement to be proud of.

That’s awesome and looks like fun. Even a few journalists are better than none and every little bit counts. 😀 Hope it makes a big splash in the Greek market.

It was a pity that the financial situation overshadowed your launch. However, some journalists, and an attractive Greek celebrity into the bargain? Pretty good Nicholas!
Best wishes, Pete.

Thanks! It was very classy. But I felt like the New Testament King who gathered passers-by because his own guests to the wedding never showed up 😉

Nicholas, I’m impressed! Well, you knew I would be! Just read the competition to your book launch. An article in Business Insider…”the testy relationship with the Eurozone…Greece’s most immediate source of danger is its banking system.” Yikes! Not the best timing, however you had Evi there and that counts as a big plus. Plus…plus the T-shirt! Wish I had a small grandkid to buy one for. Anyway, I love my Runaway Smile book (in English), and I was there in spirit at the book launch. Just answered your e-mail about ARC…please read, I cannot open it! Help! Christine

I’m sorry this event wasn’t better attended, Nicholas. But you sold some books, enjoyed the company, came away with ideas – so it’s definitely a half full glass. Bravo!
