Remember how I mentioned that I’m redesigning all of of my book covers? Today, I can share with you the new cover for The Power of Six: 6+1 short science fiction stories. The redesign has been by the very talented Alexios Saskalidis of 187designz.
Buy The Power of Six on Amazon
Even more exciting, however, is the new cover for Infinite Waters; my latest collection of short stories. Also designed by 187designz, its design is in the same spirit as The Power of Six, to indicate the relationship between the two:
Infinite Waters will be released on July 7th.
Do let me know what you think of the new covers in the comments below. Unless you hate them. Then… erm… oh, what the heck, even then! Or, you can rate them on ratebookcover.com:
Oh, and if you’re interested in an advance review copy (ARC) of Infinite Waters, just leave a comment or contact me, and I’ll be more than happy to send you a free copy!

Thanks! I, too, am very fond of the original, but it seemed silly to change just one and not the other.

I like the new covers! Very SF, pro and catchy. Would definitely check the books out even though they are a bit too modern for my style (but you know me. I’m old school). If I have a printed version of the power of six I’d rather have it with the first cover. But I think people will prefer the new ones.

I agree that the new covers have a real ‘series’ feel to them, and could become a style that’s associated with your books. The previous cover was good, but these harp back to the 80s ‘bookshop’ feel, with a big impact on the potential buyer.
Nice work.
Best wishes, Pete.

I love both of them. They’re 100% professional-looking which is paramount, but also have a timeless feel that’s instantly recognisable. The cover for The Power of Six in your sidebar seems more dated now that you have a shiny new one 😉

Thank you! The whole point was because of the main story, which is an author going to the carnival for inspiration. The man there produces a crystal ball, allowing her to see the stories inside 🙂

Nicholas!! What stunning covers! I gave them both a 5, this guy, Alex is a star. I’ll contact you to talk, I need this guy for my fantasy! Especially the cover for Infinite Waters is phenomenal. In my 30s I used to subscribe to an awesome Greek magazine called Strange (conspiracy theories, aliens, all sorts of weird stuff and I devoured it). Well, your cover looks like one of those magazine covers that had me salivating once a month! Same concept, same colors, same kind of image. WELL DONE! Please send an ARC my way, I can’t wait!

Absolutely perfect. Much more contemporary. Looks more like sci-fi than a spiritual self-help book. Honestly, that’s what I thought your book was about months ago when I clicked on your page and saw it for the very first time. I think it was the body figure and a title that sounded like empowerment that gave me that initial impression.

Nicholas, Love the covers! Both got a 5 star from me. Those Aegean colors blue & green, favorites! Plus they are a thunderbolt of sci-fi power! I have the ARC Infinite Waters. The Power of Six is available on Kindle Unlimited. No paperbacks. I’ll have to figure out how to get the Power of Six…maybe on Cloud Reader. I see you’ve been viewing Sacha Black’s The Bloggers Bash Awards 2015 post. I know you’ve been nominated for one, but there’s another nomination just entered…from me…The Most Inspiring Blogger Award! I’ll let you go there to read it all. Just a thank you here for inspiring me to continue blogging and support fellow bloggers (as you do). Not to forget for inspiring me to read (and like) Sci-Fi.
