187designz. cover, book cover, Endgame, help, Pearseus, Saskalidis
I have some wonderful news to share: the first draft of Pearseus: Endgame is finally complete! This volume concludes the series and returns to the larger philosophical questions posed by Rise of the Prince, whereas Vigil was more of an adventure.
Having reached this happy point, it’s now time to choose a cover. Given the plot, there are two main options; to go with either a lava background or an underwater theme. Alex Saskalidis of 187designz has once again worked his magic and come up with two drafts. Which means, I need your help once again.
Before you choose, you may also wish to consider how well the new drafts fit the rest of the series:

Definitely the one on the left. It’s subtle but it works beautifully with your other covers.

I think the blue one makes more sense if the tone of the book is more philosophical. The red one says ‘action! adventure!’

I think the title lends itself more to the fire, but it really depends on what fits the story and the series better in your mind. The one with the sea is more legible.

Thank you, Don! There are two main story arcs and they progress simultaneously. One culminates in the battle of Marathon (sorry, Fennel Bay); the other in a lava-filled chamber. So, either goes 🙂

I like the sea, Nick, and you already have a red background on one of your books. So, go blue!

I’m with the majority. I really like the blue, plus it makes the scale pop more. With the red background the knife gets a bit lost.

I like the blue but the red grabs attention and stands out more than any of the other covers. So it’s a choice between subtle Beaty and serenity or a jolting interest in a brand new look. The red kept drawing n my attention in spite of blue’s beauty. Hard choice as both are excellent.
