Writing tools promise to make our life easier. But first you have to choose which one to use. And God knows there are plenty of them around nowadays! I counted four posts on the subject on my blog alone, with dozens of links to promising tools. So, wouldn’t it be if someone organized that information into an Infographic, letting you compare what they can each offer with simple single-line tips?
That is exactly what WikiBuy did, with their Infographic, “Free Tools To Sharpen Your Writing Skills.” I’m sharing here, in the hopes of helping you discover your new favorite writing tool!
If you are looking for more writing tools, check out these older posts as well:
More excellent advice and recommendations.
Thanks, Nicholas.
Best wishes, Pete.

Thank you, Pete! I hope you find them useful. We can easily get swamped with such links and services…

I know they are always on your blog to check back on when needed. That’s a comforting feeling! 🙂

Okay. It won’t let me reblog again, but it’s on whatever social media platforms that connect to my blog. Sorry about that.

Grammarly is hard to beat. I use it every day, but it doesn’t catch everything, I paid for a full version of ProWritingAid for one year and I like it because it catches overused words (which I tend to do) but it slows my computer down tremendously, so I won’t be renewing that one. I have used the Hemingway App and it’s great for short pieces. Thanks so much for sharing these, Nicholas. I’ll check out some of the others.

This is a fabulous, useful list, thanks. I want to try writing on Google docs because it’s got a passive backup system . . . harder to lose what I’ve written!

True! I’ve been using it for work and it’s real nice not to have to worry about backups, failed hard disks, etc. It’s also nice how you can work from any device.
